Questionnaire "Your Level of Oratory" № 2

Hello!

I hope you remember that at the very beginning of our oratory course I completed a questionnaire "Your Level of Oratory". If you don`t, you can see my results here)) https://goldenfreckle.blogspot.com/2018/02/questionnaire-your-level-of-oratory.html

Now this course is coming to the end. We have our final persuasive speech, our exam on Wednesday. I think that it`ll be interesting to complete the same questionnaire one more time to see if I have any progress, if my work during this course gave any results. So, let`s check it out. 

My initial result at the beginning of the course was 78 points out of 120 (65%).   

Now my result is 89 points out of 120 (74%). 

I should say that I`m peally proud of myself. I work hard during the course and I tried to overcome many psychological barriers. Public speaking is definitely not an easy thing for me. I still have problems with my psychology mostly. It`s hard for me to relax and accept my mistakes without inner pain. For me being judged and criticized is tough. But I really struggled all the time during our speeches and I tried to be a better version of myself. I`m glad that my result at the end of the course is better. When I was completing the questionnaire, I understood that now I really do know much more about the rules of preparing and delivering a good speech. Or course, my result isn`t very high. I think that it`s still because of lack of experience. In the questionnaire there are a lot of questions about persuasive speeches. By now I delivered only one persuasive speech in my whole life, so it was difficult for me to evaluate my experience in this field. I need more practice in persuasive speeches to apply all the rules in the appropriate way. However, I noticed that my knowledge of the structure of informative speech became wider. Now I know what the attention getter and the link are, I understand the importance of the preview, strong conclusion with emotional appeal to the audience and the cohesion between all the parts of the speech. I also know more about non-verbal communication, how to use gestures and movement in the most productive way. I understood that I still have problems with my eye-contact, pitch of the voice and freedom of movements. I want to improve these aspects in my persuasive speech which I`m preparing for the exam. If I manage to do that, I`ll be really happy, because it`s important for me. 

In general, I agree with my results. I hope that after delivering my persuasive speech this result will be even better. I`ll work hard in the future to improve my public speaking skills.
