Challenging Task №10

Hello, my dear readers!

Our course is coming to the end. Today I`ll write the last post in my blog(( I`m really sad about that( But at the same time I`m glad that I learned how to start a blog and write posts for it. Frankly speaking, I liked this activity most of all)) I realized I`m more of an author than a presenter...
I hope you remember about my List of Frightening Behaviours, which consists of 10 difficult tasks. I managed to perform all the tasks! I tried to overcome my ten social fears. It was hard and sometimes not very pleasant, but it was definitely worth it. I became more confident and brave. It became easier for me to communicate with people in embarrassing situations. I`m very grateful to this task and to you for reading all these stories and supporting me.
Now I`d like to tell you the last story about the last task which I managed to complete. The task was to Remark on a person in his/her face if her/his public behavior is inappropriate and hurts you personally.
You may ask me why I needed this task? It seems strange, I understand. But actually, I believe that we are usually surrounded by people whose behaviour is insulting and inappropriate. They may really insult or hurt you because of their bad manners. I meet such people in public transport, shops, theatres, cafes, in the university almost every day. I usually remain silent in this kind of situations, because I`m a polite and civil person, so I have to be wiser and control myself. But you know, I believe that sometimes such people really do deserve a polite, but negative remark. We have to defend ourselves and our personal boundaries. Of course, we mustn`t start a quarrel. But we also mustn`t just suffer without a sound. People must(!) behave themselves in public.
Similar situation happened to my Mum and me a week ago. We were coming back home from the mall "Gallery". We don`t have a car in our family, so we have to use public transport a lot. That`s why strange situations happen to us very often)) This time we were standing at the bus stop, waiting for our bus. There were many people there, a crowd, I should say. When our bus came, lots of these people wanted to get on it. The bus stopped, and my Mum and I turned out to be near the doors. So, we wanted to get on the bus, but there were two women, who started to push us and other people really hard to get into the bus faster than everyone else)) They were also shouting and pushing everyone inside the bus to take seats, so not to stand. They pushed my Mum and occupied the places just in front of us)) I was so angry, I just couldn`t keep silent. I said something like, "What are you doing? Why do you hurt other people just because of seats in the bus?". Of course, they just did not answer, what could they say? Maybe, they didn`t even understand, what had happened. But I`m glad that I said it to them. Such people should think about their behavior and moral principles. All the way in the bus they were talking and shouting like mad. It was so unpleasant and disgusting. I wish people really behave themselves in public. Or, maybe, we have to buy a car))

Thank you for reading my blog and your comments. I`ll miss you very much! Wish me good luck with my speech on the exam)
I wish you all the best! Don`t forget to continue improving your public speaking skills and self-confidence)
