Challenging Task №9
Hello, dear friends!
I`m glad to write here again. It`s practically the end of May now, and I just can`t believe it. The academic year and our studies are moving very fast to their end, too. Am I happy about it? Actually, I`m not sure. The next 5th year at the university`ll be our final one. It`s going to be really tough and rich with events and changes in my life. I can`t say `m absolutely ready for the independent life of a mature person. However, one is never ready for stuff like that, isn`t he?)
Today I`d like to tell you about the 9th Challenging Task. This time it`s also connected with the university. I had to initiate a one-on-one conversation with my professor about something inconsequential.
At first, I thought it would be really very difficult for me. But when the time for this task came, I realized I could do it without any fears, even with pleasure. Why is that? Maybe, because I have already coped with 8 tasks, which turned out to be complicated for me. Or, maybe, just because I know nearly all our professors perfectly well and I love them! Frankly speaking, I have already talked about inconsequential things with many of them, because we had lots of double periods together)) So, I decided that I should talk to someone, with whom we haven`t worked that much. I chose Ulyana Leonidovna Kshenovskaya for this task) This year we have the Business English course with her.
I remembered that once Ulyuana Leonidovna told us about physical peculiarities of the space and the brain and interesting things connected with them, like the symptom of "deja vu", "loop" and so on. I`m really fascinated by all these strange stuff that sometimes happens with our consciousness. That`s why I decided to ask her some questions about it. I had to initiate a one-on-one conversation with her) However, there were other students in the classroom after the double period, but I talked to Ulyana Leonidovna alone. I just went like, 'Do you remember you told us about the tricks of our consciousness? Could you tell me how it works? Maybe you could recommend me some books on the topic?' U. L. was very friendly, she told me several exciting stories from her trip to England, where she and her friend actually got into the "loop", stories from her childhood and so on. She also recommended some books like "Night Train to Lisbon" to me.
Our conversation turned out to be very natural and easy. I wasn`t scared at all)) I like communicating with different people, it`s so interesting! And our professors are also magnificent people, so why not to talk to them, observing the subordination, of course? We aren`t close with Ulyana Leonidovna, but I found this experience very useful and intriguing. I love coming to grips with new people)
Can you easily discuss different topics with your professors? It would be interesting for me to find out :)

Hi, Ann!:) This story is really nice and interesting, because you showed that talking to professors isn`t scary at all. On the contrary, it can bring you positive emotions together with new knowledge and information. You did it very well! Also, I`d like to say that I share the same emotions as you do about the end of the 4th year. We`ll gonna live a challenging period in our life soon, so it`s time to get ready for it. Despite the fact that it frightens a bit I hope everything will be alright:) Thanks for reading this!
