Challenging Task №7

Hello again!

Now it`s high time for the Challenging Task of the week. It`s already the 7th one, can you believe it? 😤
This week my task was: Go to a social event with a friend and initiate a conversation with one person you don`t know. Honestly, this very task turned out to be my favourite))
You should know that I`m a great theatre-lover and theatre-goer. My biggest and deepest love is ballet. I`m a devoted fan of this kind of art! I visit lots of perfomances in our Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre every month, watch videos on the Internet, read and even write my own articles about ballerinas and their professional skills. Ballet is my beloved hobby and a perfect way for me to feel happy and inspired!
So, you`ve already guessed that my story will be about visiting the theatre) My Mum and I went to my favourite Opera and Ballet theatre to enjoy one of the most famous ballet perfomances - "Sleeping Beauty" by P. Tchaikovsky. Everything was very beautiful and charming as always. During the intermission we decided to have a cup of coffee with a piece of cake. We went to the buffet, discussing our thoughts and impressions of the perfomance. Can you imagine my astonishment, when I saw Anna Odintsova - one of the most famous ballerinas in our theatre?! I adore her elegance and nobility! She is just amazing!

Anna was in the hall near us with her parents. Of course, it was very embarrassing and exciting, but I decided that it was my one and only chance to talk to her. Right here and right now!)) I was afraid, because I didn`t want to disturb her, while she was talking to her parents. Moreover, I just didn`t know what to say!! It was a real challenge for me)) Finally, I found courage to say hello and ask Anna for an autograph. It was like to meet a star, or something like that) Anna was very friendly and polite. I noticed that she was surprised, but very pleased. I made compliments about her professionalism and acting skills. Words just went out of me like a flow)) She said thank you several times)) And, of course, she gave us her autograph. Our conversation was very nice and sincere! This experience was very pleasant and useful for me. I`m very glad that finally I pull myself together and did it! I`m happy))

  1. Ann, I`m very happy for you! You met your favourite ballerina in your favourite place of Novosibirsk! It`s so exciting to meet someone you admire very much and, moreover, to talk to him/her. I can imagine your feelings about this situation and how this conversation inspired you! I wish you good luck in writing your articles about ballet because it`s really wonderful to do what you really love <3
